Lucy and Kate

These girls were born two days apart six years ago.

LUCY

KATE

They both have curly hair, dimples and glorious smiles

and they are the best of friends!

One of the movies they enjoy is

Tangled

We've watched it together and it is delightful.

But we thought we'd share this book after the movie

Rapunzel (Picture Puffin Books)

By Paul Zelinsky

Mr. Zelinsky visited my library and is such a kind quiet man.  When I met him I was a little worried that the students would not be as impressed as I was, but as soon as he picked up his charcoal and began to draw they were mesmerized.  The art for this book took many long hours and is as beautiful as Rapunzel herself. Before or after a movie it is always a good idea to read the traditional tale in book form and this one is one of the best.

Lucy had a little pre-birthday party
 at Grandma Packers.
The invitation was a work of art:

The party was perfect including the "chocolate" tea and raspberries.

Thanks Lucy for sharing tea,
made me think of this book, remember when we read:

May I Bring a Friend?

We didn't have monkeys, or lions, elephants or seals at the party,
but we did have a butterfly in the garden.

Fancy Nancy: Tea Parties

Nancy shares such useful information when you want to host a tea party. Especially a fancy one!

Kate and Lucy both love the fairy books:

THE COMPLETE BOOK OF THE FLOWER FAIRIES Poems and Pictures by Cicely Mary Barker

And Kate and Lucy
love to dance!

This is Kate dancing!

Two books about dance I know they will love are:

Lili at Ballet (Paperstar Book)

And

Angelina Ballerina 25th Anniversary Edition

The girls like to draw, and paint!

The Art Lesson (Paperstar Book)

So do Spencer and Jessie!

Love you girls!
Happy Birthday!
